Rajamani Gounder, R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, has recently been selected as an Associate Editor of the Reaction Chemistry & Engineering Editorial Board. Editors are chosen from a high achieving international pool of researchers who have made significant advances in their field and strive to cultivate a unique forum for researchers whose interests span the broad areas of chemical engineering and chemical sciences to come together in solving problems of importance to wider society.

Prior to his appointment as Associate Editor, Dr. Gounder served on the Editorial Advisory Board and has served as Guest Editor for special themed issues for Reaction Chemistry & Engineering. As part of the Editorial Board, Dr. Gounder will be responsible for peer-reviewing scientific articles through the selection and publication process in order to maintain the high-level quality of the scientific content produced.

Reaction Chemistry & Engineering, a journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry, was launched in 2016 and is an interdisciplinary journal reporting cutting-edge research focused on enhancing the understanding and efficiency of reactions.

“I am honored by this selection to the join the illustrious Editorial Board of Reaction Chemistry & Engineering,” says Dr. Gounder, “and look forward to serving the scientific community in this editorial role.”

Dr. Gounder joined the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue in 2013.
