Professor Ruilan Guo Awarded 2023 FRI/Neil Yeoman Innovation Award

Professor Ruilan Guo, Frank M. Freimann Professor of Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and CISTAR Deputy Co-Director, has been awarded the AIChE Separations Division 2023 FRI/Neil Yeoman Innovation Award. She was presented the award at the Separations Division Awards Dinner during the AIChE Fall Annual Meeting.

The award recognizes Guo’s research on developing innovative microporous polymers with exquisitely controlled microstructures that enable ultra-fast and selective molecular transport and separation as an outstanding contribution toward advancing separations technologies.

According to the AIChE website, Neil Yeoman Innovation Award, sponsored by Fractionation Research, Inc.(FRI), honors the memory of Neil Yeoman, a charter member of both the Separations Division as well as the Design Practices Committee of FRI. His long-time dedication to the Separations Division was exemplified by applying practical solutions to existing problems.
